On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out raids at multiple locations in Delhi as part of an investigation into a money laundering case linked to a cyber fraud worth over ₹900 crore. According to official sources, the fraud allegedly involves a Chinese national and others.
The ED has filed a criminal case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to probe the matter. As part of the ongoing investigation, five locations in Delhi are being searched in connection with the case. The case involves a company called Xindai Technologies Pvt Ltd, where it is claimed that the public was misled in the name of investments, and funds were reportedly laundered through full-fledged money changers (FFMC).
Sources revealed that the role of a Chinese national, along with others, is being investigated in this case. The total amount of money involved in the alleged fraud is estimated to be around ₹903 crore.
