Wishing Mr. Arvind Chandra greater responsibilities and exciting challenges in this impressive new chapter!
A new chapter has begun at Tenneco India as seasoned industry expert Arvind Chandra takes the helm as Chief Executive Officer. Tenneco, a prominent American name in the global auto components arena, has entrusted Chandra with leading its Indian operations across various verticals including Clean Air, Monroe Ride Solutions, Champion Ignition, and the Powertrain unit focusing on bearings and sealings.
Bringing with him a legacy of leadership from global automotive giants like Delphi, Wabco, Minda Corporation and Faurecia, Chandra most recently served as India CEO at Aliaxis Group. His wide-ranging experience spans critical domains such as manufacturing, sales, engineering, strategic planning, and executive leadership across multiple geographies. His arrival marks a pivotal moment for Tenneco India.
Under his direction, the company aims to speed up its growth, deepen collaborations with customers, and transform India into a powerhouse of manufacturing brilliance. “India continues to be a critical growth engine for Tenneco,” expressed Jim Voss, Global CEO of Tenneco. “Arvind’s leadership, global perspective, and deep understanding of the Indian automotive ecosystem will help us scale further, innovate faster, and deliver greater value to our customers and partners across the region.”
Supporting this vision, Rishi Verma, President of Tenneco India, will report to Chandra. Verma will continue to handle daily operations while also taking on added responsibilities. He will now lead the pistons, rings, valve seats and guides segment of the Powertrain business, ensuring a smooth and effective management structure with no changes to the existing leadership under him.
Tenneco has laid out a strong roadmap for India, focusing on rapid expansion, tech-driven innovation, and enhancing client relationships under Chandra’s watch. As India positions itself as a global manufacturing force, Tenneco’s commitment to excellence finds new momentum with this leadership shift.
