Upcoming flagship smartphones from Oppo and Vivo could bring major camera upgrades, with a new leak pointing to multiple 200-megapixel sensors across both devices.
According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the Oppo Find X10 Ultra and Vivo X500 Ultra are expected to feature 200-megapixel primary and telephoto cameras. However, their rear camera configurations are likely to differ.
The Oppo Find X10 Ultra is tipped to feature a quad-camera setup comprising a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 200-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 200-megapixel 3x periscope telephoto camera and a 50-megapixel 10x periscope telephoto camera.
The Vivo X500 Ultra, meanwhile, could feature a triple rear camera system with a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
These specifications differ from earlier reports about the Oppo Find X10 Ultra, which suggested that the company might retain a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor while using 200-megapixel sensors for the primary and periscope telephoto cameras.
If the latest leak is accurate, the Find X10 Ultra could offer a significant camera hardware upgrade over the Find X9 Ultra. Its predecessor featured a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 200-megapixel 3x periscope telephoto camera, a 50-megapixel 10x periscope telephoto camera and a 50-megapixel ultrawide shooter.
The Vivo X500 Ultra could also represent a notable shift in the company’s flagship camera lineup. The Vivo X300 Ultra featured a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
However, the global availability of both upcoming smartphones remains uncertain. The tipster indicated that the ongoing memory supply crunch in the smartphone industry could affect manufacturers’ international launch plans.
Neither Oppo nor Vivo has officially confirmed the camera specifications or launch details of these devices.
