Sameer Raje has joined Cloudflare as Area Vice President – SAARC, marking a new chapter in his career spanning enterprise technology, regional business leadership and revenue growth.
Mr Raje brings extensive experience in building and scaling technology businesses across India and the wider South Asian region. Before joining Cloudflare, he spent over seven years at Zoom Video Communications, where he served as Country Leader and Head of India and SAARC. His earlier career includes stints at Microsoft and IBM.
At Zoom, Mr Raje was tasked with establishing and leading the company’s India and SAARC operations from the ground up. His remit covered go-to-market strategy, market expansion, revenue growth and cross-functional execution. Under his leadership, the business developed a regional organisation serving government, public sector, enterprise and small and medium-sized business customers.
His tenure also coincided with Zoom’s expansion beyond video meetings into a broader communications and customer engagement portfolio. He led initiatives involving solutions such as Zoom Phone and Contact Center, navigating India’s complex telecom regulatory environment while advancing the company’s regional growth ambitions.
Beyond commercial expansion, Mr Raje’s responsibilities included team building, partner ecosystem development and operational governance. As Resident Director, he also held executive oversight responsibilities across business operations, with involvement spanning finance, tax, government relations and administration. His leadership approach, as outlined in his professional profile, emphasised disciplined execution, talent development, accountability and long-term customer value.
His move to Cloudflare brings this experience into the internet infrastructure and cybersecurity sector, where organisations are increasingly focused on securing digital operations, protecting applications and strengthening connectivity. For a regional business leader, the role presents a different technology landscape while drawing on capabilities developed across enterprise sales, market development and organisational scaling.
