Vishal Patil has been appointed Chief Information Officer at Unichem Laboratories Limited, bringing extensive experience in IT leadership, digital transformation, IT-OT convergence, automation, enterprise applications and smart manufacturing within the pharmaceutical industry.
Before joining Unichem Laboratories, Patil served as Sr. General Manager – IT & Automation at Serum Institute of India. He previously held the position of Cluster Head – IT at Sun Pharma and Head – Automation & IT at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories.
Earlier in his career, he worked as Manager – Engineering and Project (Automation) at Ranbaxy. These roles helped him build deep expertise across technology, automation, infrastructure, manufacturing systems and regulatory compliance.
In his new role, Patil brings together his experience across IT and automation to support technology-led transformation and strengthen digital and manufacturing capabilities within the pharmaceutical sector.
