Sony’s next mid-range smartphone is expected to be unveiled this week, with August 25, 2026, emerging as a possible launch date. A leaked image now offers a first clear look at the Xperia 10 VIII, revealing design changes and some expected specifications.
The Xperia 10 VIII is set to succeed the Xperia 10 VII, which launched last year. The leaked image shows a familiar design with a more refined look. The frame appears to have sharper edges compared with the smoother design of its predecessor.
The biggest visible change is the camera island. While the Xperia 10 VII featured a metal, capsule-shaped camera module, the new model appears to use the same material as the rear panel, creating a floating camera effect. The positions of the 2 rear cameras and LED flash remain unchanged, as does the ‘Sony’ logo on the camera module.
The white finish seen on the previous model also appears to have been replaced by a lighter green shade.
The Xperia 10 VIII is reportedly powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC and could come with 8GB of RAM. The leaked image confirms a dual-camera setup on the rear.
The Xperia 10 VII featured a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera, and the new model is expected to retain a similar configuration. The 5,000mAh battery is also expected to continue on the Xperia 10 VIII.
The smartphone’s exact launch date has not yet been confirmed.
