Driven by sustained demand for public safety communications and security technologies, Motorola Solutions has raised its full-year revenue and earnings guidance, exceeding Wall Street expectations. The company continues to benefit from growing adoption of its communications equipment, emergency response software, body cameras, and expanded counter-drone capabilities.

Motorola Solutions now expects full-year revenue of approximately $12.98 billion, up from its earlier forecast of $12.8 billion, surpassing analysts’ estimates of $12.8 billion.

For the 3rd quarter, the company projects revenue growth of about 8% and adjusted earnings per share (EPS) between $4.39 and $4.44, broadly in line with analysts’ expectations of $4.41 per share.

In the 2nd quarter ended July 4, Motorola reported revenue of $3.13 billion, exceeding market expectations of $3 billion. The quarter also included $60 million, or $0.25 per share, in tariff refunds.

The company ended the quarter with a record backlog of $15.6 billion, reflecting strong demand from public safety agencies. Motorola has also strengthened its portfolio through the D-Fend acquisition, expanding its capabilities in counter-drone technology.

In addition, Motorola increased its full-year adjusted EPS guidance to $17.62–$17.72 per share, up from its previous forecast of $16.87–$16.99 per share, well above analysts’ average estimate of $16.98 per share.
