The global launch of the Redmi 17 5G appears to be approaching, with a new leak revealing its expected price, design and key specifications. The smartphone is reportedly set to feature a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset and a 6.9-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
According to details shared by tipster Sudhanshu, the Redmi 17 5G could be priced at EUR 250 (roughly Rs. 27,400) for the base 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Details about other RAM and storage options have not yet been revealed.
Leaked renders suggest the phone could arrive in Orange, Black and Blue. The Orange variant is expected to feature a textured rear panel, while all 3 models may have flat edges and a rectangular camera island with circular camera cutouts.
The handset is reportedly expected to measure 170.12 x 74.42 x 8.8mm and weigh around 235g.
The Redmi 17 5G could feature a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels, up to a 120Hz refresh rate, 675 nits of typical brightness and up to 825 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM). The screen may also have Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
Under the hood, the phone is tipped to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset based on a 4nm process. It is expected to run HyperOS 3.0 based on Android 16.
For photography, the handset could feature a 50-megapixel AI primary rear camera with a QVGA anti-flicker sensor. An 8-megapixel front camera is expected for selfies and video calls.
Connectivity may include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.
The Redmi 17 5G is also tipped to pack a 7,500mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging. Other possible features include an IP64-rated build, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a Dynamic RGB LED notification light.
