Kumar Kanagasabapathy joins Netflix to lead brand partnerships across APAC

Netflix has appointed Kumar Kanagasabapathy as Director, Brand Partnerships, APAC. In his new role, he will lead brand partnership initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on strengthening collaborations that drive audience engagement and support Netflix’s continued growth in one of its fastest-growing markets.

Kumar brings extensive experience in strategy, brand partnerships, and communications across global markets. Before joining Netflix, he served as APAC Chief Strategy Officer at IPG Mediabrands. He also held the positions of Global Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Global Strategy at Rufus, IPG Mediabrands’ dedicated Amazon agency.

Earlier in his career, Kumar held senior strategy roles at MediaCom, Horizon Media, Maxus Global, Wieden + Kennedy, and Carat. Throughout these positions, he led strategic transformation, brand planning, communications strategy, and global client partnerships for some of the world’s leading brands.

His appointment highlights Netflix’s continued focus on strengthening strategic brand partnerships across the APAC region as it expands its presence and deepens audience engagement.
