NTT DATA Business Solutions has promoted Viswanathan Ramu Sharma to Vice President, Customer Engagements, recognising his extensive experience in SAP consulting, customer success, and enterprise transformation.
With a career spanning nearly 40 years, Sharma has built expertise across finance, consulting, capital markets, and enterprise technology. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening strategic customer relationships, enhancing customer satisfaction, and leading end-to-end engagement across key client accounts.
Before this promotion, Sharma served as Senior Director, Customer Engagements, where he was responsible for expanding customer relationships, ensuring successful service delivery, and overseeing all aspects of client engagement.
Since joining NTT DATA Business Solutions in 2019 as an SAP Project Manager, Sharma has steadily progressed through leadership roles, including Director, Customer Engagements and Senior Director, Customer Engagements. During his tenure, he has led SAP implementation programmes, managed customer delivery teams, overseen project budgets and performance, addressed complex delivery challenges, and driven large-scale SAP transformation initiatives with a strong focus on customer success.
Prior to joining the company, Sharma worked as FICO Lead at itelligence, contributing to SAP implementation projects. Earlier, he served as an independent Project Lead – Enterprise Resource Planning, managing SAP implementations for organisations in the food and automotive sectors.
His professional journey also includes founding Rasratha Securities, where he served as Founder & CEO, building a consulting and wealth management business that advised institutional, corporate, and high-net-worth clients on governance, compliance, risk management, and business performance.
Earlier in his career, Sharma held several leadership positions in India’s financial sector, including Director at Bangalore Stock Exchange Ltd. and Chairman of the Board at BgSE Financials Ltd., where he helped drive technology-led initiatives to modernise trading and depository services. He began his career with Sri Ram Ganesh & Co Chartered Accountants, developing expertise in auditing, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and business advisory.
His promotion reflects NTT DATA Business Solutions’ continued focus on strengthening customer engagement and enterprise transformation leadership.
