McDonald’s India (West & South) has appointed Mehak Jaini as its Head of Marketing, strengthening its leadership team with a seasoned marketing professional who brings nearly 20 years of experience in brand strategy, consumer insights, marketing, and strategic communications.

In her new role, Jaini will lead the marketing function for McDonald’s operations across the West and South regions of India under Westlife Foodworld.

She joins McDonald’s India from Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), where she served as Global Brand Equity Lead – Personal Care & Global Effectiveness. During her tenure, she played a key role in strengthening global brand equity, improving marketing effectiveness across international markets, and driving strategic initiatives for the company’s personal care portfolio. She also previously led global brand equity for the Hair and Air categories, contributing to brand growth through consumer-focused marketing strategies.

Before GCPL, Jaini spent nearly 16 years at DDB Mudra Group, where she built an extensive career in strategic planning and brand consulting. Most recently, she served as National Strategy Head at 22feet Tribal Worldwide and Vice President – Strategy at DDB Mudra Group, leading the agency’s digital strategy practice, mentoring teams, driving business growth, and shaping strategies for several leading brands.

Throughout her agency career, she held multiple leadership positions, including Vice President, Senior Strategy Director, Director – Account Planning, Manager – Account Planning, and Executive – Account Planning, helping deliver award-winning brand campaigns and strategic business growth.

Jaini has worked with a diverse portfolio of leading brands, including McDonald’s, Godrej, Disney+ Hotstar, Lipton, LIC, The Economic Times, Femina, HBO, Indian Oil, Huawei, and Electrolux. Notably, she had previously led strategy for McDonald’s as an agency partner, giving her a strong understanding of the brand and its consumers before joining the company.

She began her professional journey with a management internship at L’Oréal and holds an MBA in Account Planning, Communication and Brand Management from the Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA).
