Fresh leaks have revealed several key specifications of the upcoming iQOO 16, suggesting the smartphone could arrive with flagship-level hardware and a large 8,500 mAh battery. Although the company has not officially announced the device, a reliable tipster has shared details from an engineering prototype currently under testing.

According to the leak, the iQOO 16 prototype is powered by Qualcomm’s unannounced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor. The chipset is expected to feature Qualcomm’s 2+3+3 Oryon CPU architecture, 16 MB of shared L2 cache, an Adreno 850 GPU, 18 MB of graphics memory (GMEM), and support for both LPDDR6 and LPDDR5X RAM.

The smartphone is also tipped to include premium symmetrical dual stereo speakers from the 1115 series and a 0916-series X-axis linear motor for improved haptic feedback.

Another expected highlight is a dedicated graphics chip. The previous iQOO 15 featured the Q3 supercomputing chip with dedicated ray tracing cores, frame interpolation, and upscaling support for gaming at up to 2K resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate. The iQOO 16 is expected to continue this focus on gaming performance.

The leak also suggests the smartphone will feature a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for biometric security. The tipster reaffirmed earlier reports that the device will pack an 8,500 mAh battery, making it one of the largest batteries expected in a flagship smartphone.

Additional expected features include an IP68 + IP69 rating for dust and water resistance and USB 3.2 support.

The iQOO 16 is expected to debut in China between September and October. However, its launch in India remains uncertain. Recent reports suggest the company may skip the Indian market due to rising memory prices, which could significantly increase the smartphone’s price. iQOO has not officially confirmed these reports, and all specifications remain based on leaks.
