Fresh reports suggest that Vivo may introduce the Vivo X Fold 6 in India later than its usual launch schedule. Although the company has not officially confirmed the launch date, a new leak indicates that the foldable smartphone could debut in the country in October this year.
According to the leaked information, the Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to be priced above ₹1,05,000 in India. The RAM and storage configuration has not been revealed. For comparison, the Vivo X Fold 5 was launched at ₹1,49,999 for the 16GB + 512GB variant.
If the leaked timeline is accurate, the Vivo X Fold 6 will launch several months later than its predecessors. The Vivo X Fold 5 debuted in July last year, while the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro arrived in June 2024.
The foldable smartphone is expected to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which are scheduled to launch later this month.
Reports suggest that the Indian version will retain the same specifications as the Chinese model. The device is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super chipset and pack a 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 40W wireless charging.
The Vivo X Fold 6 features an 8.02-inch AMOLED inner display with a resolution of 2,504 × 2,312 pixels and a 6.51-inch AMOLED cover display with a resolution of 1,120 × 2,528 pixels. It also carries IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance.
For photography, the smartphone is equipped with a Zeiss-tuned triple rear camera setup comprising a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. It also includes 2 20-megapixel front-facing cameras for selfies and video calls.
