Google introduces Pixel Audio Services to enhance audio performance on Pixel 10 devices

Google has released a new Pixel Audio Services application for the Pixel 10 lineup through the Google Play Store.

The app is designed as a system component that delivers the latest updates and bug fixes for audio modules, helping improve the overall audio experience on supported devices.

According to the Play Store listing, Pixel Audio Services comes pre-installed on compatible devices and should be kept up to date to ensure optimal audio performance. The application uses the package name com.google.android.apps.pixel.tabby, and the latest version is 2026.06.16.932712397_release.

The app features a puzzle-piece icon with a waveform overlay, similar to Pixel Camera Services, which enables features such as Night Sight support for compatible third-party applications.

Google describes this as the 1st release of Pixel Audio Services, with the latest update published on June 29. The app has been made available for the Pixel 10 series, including the Pixel 10a and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

The application is currently not available for download on the Pixel 8 or Pixel 9 series running Android 17, indicating that it is exclusive to Google’s latest Pixel devices.
