India’s technology services industry is expected to play an even bigger role in helping global enterprises adopt artificial intelligence, according to discussions at the Nasscom US CEO Forum. Industry leaders highlighted that Indian technology companies are evolving from traditional IT service providers into strategic partners driving AI-led business transformation.
The discussions focused on how AI is reshaping enterprise technology, with Indian firms supporting organisations through AI integration, digital engineering, cloud modernisation, cybersecurity and large-scale business transformation. Leaders noted that the country’s deep talent pool, engineering expertise and experience in managing complex global operations continue to make India a preferred technology partner.
The forum also highlighted the importance of responsible AI adoption, workforce reskilling and stronger collaboration between industry, governments and academia to prepare talent for emerging technologies. Building AI-ready infrastructure and investing in innovation were identified as key priorities for sustaining long-term growth.
Participants emphasised that while AI will automate several routine tasks, it will also create new opportunities requiring advanced digital skills. India’s technology services sector is expected to remain central to helping enterprises balance innovation, operational efficiency and responsible AI deployment.
The discussions reinforced confidence that India’s technology industry will continue to support global businesses as AI adoption accelerates, further strengthening the country’s position as a leading hub for digital transformation and enterprise technology services.
