Levi Strauss & Co. has elevated Vijay Nair to the role of Vice President & Site Leader, Levi’s Global Talent Hub (GCC), recognizing his contributions to the company’s analytics, artificial intelligence, planning, and digital transformation initiatives.

The promotion reflects the company’s continued focus on strengthening its Global Capability Center strategy and expanding India’s role as a key hub for innovation, advanced analytics, AI, enterprise planning, and business transformation.

In his new role, Nair will lead the Levi’s Global Talent Hub in India, overseeing capability development, talent growth, innovation programs, and strategic business support functions that serve the company’s global operations. He will also play a key role in advancing Levi Strauss & Co.’s AI-driven transformation agenda while enhancing the GCC’s contribution to growth, operational excellence, and innovation.

Nair has been with Levi Strauss & Co. for nearly 5 years and has held several leadership positions across planning, analytics, artificial intelligence, and organizational capability development.

Prior to this appointment, he served as Vice President – MPIM (South Asia, Middle East & Africa and Global Talent Hub), where he led strategic planning and capability-building initiatives across multiple regions while supporting the development of the company’s global talent ecosystem.

Earlier, he was Senior Director & Head, Planning and Analytics (South Asia, Middle East & Africa), leading analytics-driven business transformation and operational improvement initiatives. Before that, he served as Senior Director & Regional Head – Data, Analytics and AI (APAC & MEA), overseeing teams focused on demand forecasting, assortment optimization, pricing analytics, promotion effectiveness, and customer personalization.

Before joining Levi Strauss & Co., Nair served as Senior Director, Data Science & Engineering at Lowe’s India, where he led global data science and engineering teams developing analytics solutions across pricing, promotions, competitive intelligence, and finance functions.

His earlier experience includes leadership roles at Tesco Bengaluru, where he headed Analytics and Reporting Centre of Excellence and Online Operations & Analytics. He also held positions with Tesco.com, American Express, and Global Analytics, building expertise in customer analytics, business intelligence, operational excellence, and strategic decision-making.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Nair has contributed to the development of future technology leaders as a Visiting Faculty in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at institutions including the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, IIIT Delhi, and the Goa Institute of Management.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Nair brings extensive experience in artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, digital transformation, enterprise planning, and business leadership. His elevation highlights Levi Strauss & Co.’s confidence in his ability to strengthen the Global Talent Hub and drive innovation across the organization.
