NielsenIQ promotes Poornima Subramanian as India GCC HR Leader

In this expanded position, Poornima will lead the people and talent strategy for NielsenIQ’s Global Capability Center (GCC) operations in India, supporting organizational growth, workforce capability, employee experience, talent development, and HR transformation initiatives.

Poornima has been associated with NielsenIQ for more than 4 years. Prior to this appointment, she served as Associate Director – Human Resources, where she played an important role in driving HR initiatives, employee engagement programs, organizational effectiveness, and people-focused strategies across the organization.

Before joining NielsenIQ, Poornima worked with D4 Insight as Senior Manager – Human Resources. During her tenure, she led the HR function, focusing on workplace culture, employee engagement, and enhancing the overall employee experience.

Earlier, Poornima served as Senior HR Advisor at BNY Mellon Technology India, where she supported multiple business units through HR advisory, performance management, rewards and recognition programs, employee engagement initiatives, attrition analysis, and organizational development efforts. She also contributed significantly to the company’s Great Place to Work initiatives.

A significant part of her professional journey was spent with Ramco Systems, where she worked as Manager – Human Resources for more than a decade. In this role, she supported teams across India as well as international markets, including South Africa, the Middle East, and Sudan.

Her responsibilities included HR business partnering, HRIS management, compensation framework design, HR analytics, employee engagement, performance management systems, and HR process quality management aligned with global standards.

Over the course of her career, Poornima has developed expertise across HR business partnering, talent management, employee engagement, compensation and rewards, HR technology, workforce planning, HR analytics, organizational development, performance management, and employee experience.

In her new role, Poornima is expected to play a key role in strengthening NielsenIQ’s people strategy and supporting the continued growth of its GCC operations in India.
