WWDC 2026: Apple rolls out major AI upgrades across devices and apps

Apple has unveiled a broad set of artificial intelligence upgrades and software enhancements at WWDC 2026, signalling a deeper integration of AI across its ecosystem. The company detailed new features, rollout plans and AI-powered tools that will be available across iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watch and Vision Pro devices.

One of the biggest announcements was the launch of a revamped Siri. The upgraded assistant is designed to deliver more natural conversations and improved responses. Siri can now understand content displayed on a user’s screen and use that information to provide relevant assistance. Apple is also introducing a dedicated Siri app that allows users to access previous conversations. The enhanced assistant will be available on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Vision Pro.

Apple is also bringing several AI features to iOS 27. Users will be able to access Siri directly through the Dynamic Island, with responses displayed instantly. A new Camera feature called ‘Siri Mode’ can identify objects seen through the camera and provide information about them. The company is also improving opacity controls within its Liquid Glass design and offering more customization options. iOS 27 will support iPhone models starting from iPhone 11.

For Mac users, Apple introduced macOS Golden Gate. The update integrates Siri into Spotlight Search, enabling users to ask questions and interact with files directly from the search interface. It also includes design refinements such as customizable Liquid Glass effects, tighter window corners and the return of colorful sidebar icons.

Safari is receiving a major AI upgrade as well. The browser can now organize open tabs based on topics, making browsing more efficient. Apple also introduced ‘Notify Me’, a feature that tracks webpage changes and alerts users when updates occur, including product availability on e-commerce platforms. Safari will also be able to update compromised passwords automatically and create browser extensions using language-based descriptions.

Apple is further expanding AI capabilities across its apps. Messages can now suggest relevant photos during conversations, while the Phone app can surface useful details such as flight confirmations when calls begin. Mail will provide smarter suggestions and assist with calendar event creation. Image Playground is also gaining new editing tools that can improve compositions and remove unwanted distractions from photos.
