This promotion marks Ashish Khilnani to the position of Vice President, recognizing his contributions to operational excellence, logistics management, and supply chain efficiency within the organization.
Khilnani has been associated with Vedanta Limited – Aluminium Business as COO Logistics, where he has played an important role in overseeing logistics operations and supporting business performance at the company’s aluminium operations in Jharsuguda, Odisha. With more than 20 years of experience, he brings deep expertise across logistics, procurement, plant operations, inventory management, industrial purchasing, and supply chain leadership.
Before joining Vedanta Aluminium, Khilnani worked with Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd., where he held leadership positions including Logistics Cluster Head – Odisha and General Manager. During his tenure, he was responsible for strengthening logistics operations, improving supply chain efficiency, and supporting plant-level operational performance across the region.
Earlier, he spent over 16 years with Lafarge India Ltd., holding several roles across plant logistics, procurement, inventory management, and industrial goods and services purchasing. His long association with the company enabled him to build extensive expertise in cement manufacturing operations, supply chain management, procurement systems, and inventory control across locations such as Bilaspur, Jamshedpur, and Kolkata.
In the early stages of his career, Khilnani worked as Maintenance Engineer at Super Max Impex, Electrical Engineer at Softel Kitchen Appliances, and Government Apprentice (Electrical) at Raymond Cement. These roles provided him with valuable experience in engineering, maintenance, and industrial operations, laying the foundation for his future leadership journey.
Over the years, he has established a strong track record in managing complex logistics networks, optimizing procurement processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving business performance across manufacturing and industrial environments.
His promotion reflects Vedanta Aluminium’s confidence in his leadership capabilities and his contribution to strengthening the company’s logistics and supply chain operations. In his new role, he is expected to continue supporting the organization’s growth ambitions and operational excellence initiatives.
