In his new role, Mr. Panda will oversee business strategy, project delivery, operational performance, and growth programs aimed at driving sustainable expansion and long-term value creation.
Prior to joining Gemstar Infra, Panda served as Managing Director – India and Nepal at Maccaferri, where he led the company’s advanced civil engineering, geotechnical, and environmental construction solutions business across both markets.
Earlier, he spent nearly 8 years with Sterlite Power in key leadership positions, including Chief Business Acquisition Officer and Business Head – Convergence. During his tenure, he played a significant role in developing a strong pipeline of power transmission projects, expanding convergence businesses, and supporting the company’s strategic growth agenda.
Panda also served as Managing Director of Maharashtra Transmission Communication Infrastructure Limited, where he successfully led the turnaround of a delayed infrastructure project and helped establish a new service market focused on OPGW fiber network infrastructure.
His professional journey further includes leadership and strategic roles at Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd., Telenor, Reliance Communications, SAP Labs, and Vedanta Resources, where he gained extensive experience across telecommunications, technology, infrastructure, business development, and operational transformation.
With decades of cross-industry leadership experience, Panda is expected to play a pivotal role in accelerating Gemstar Infra’s growth and strengthening its position in the infrastructure sector.
