Expanding its budget smartphone lineup, Honor has introduced the Honor Play 80 Plus in China on May 5. The device is currently available for pre-order and comes in multiple storage options and colour variants.

The Honor Play 80 Plus is priced at CNY 1,699 (around Rs. 24,000) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model. Prices for other variants, including 6GB + 256GB, 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB, have not yet been announced. The smartphone is offered in Aquamarine, Floating Gold, and Inkstone Black colour options.

The handset runs on Android 16-based MagicOS 10 and features a 6.61-inch TFT LCD display with 720 x 1604 pixels resolution. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1010 nits peak brightness, 16.7 million colours, 90.7% screen-to-body ratio, and 85% NTSC colour gamut.

Powering the device is an octa-core Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset with a peak clock speed of 2.3GHz, paired with an Adreno 613 GPU. It offers up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.

For photography, the phone includes a single 13MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, placed inside a pill-shaped module. On the front, it has a 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.

The device is backed by a 7500mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, proximity sensor, e-compass, and gravity sensor.

The smartphone measures 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.29mm and weighs about 205g.
