Motorola is preparing to bring its first book-style foldable smartphone to India, following its recent global debut. The company has now teased the arrival of the device, hinting at an upcoming launch in the country.

A dedicated microsite for the Motorola Razr Fold is now live, confirming that the phone will launch in India in May. The listing shows the device in at least a black colour option and confirms its availability via Flipkart. The design appears similar to the global variant. While the exact India launch date is yet to be announced, the phone is set to debut in China on May 19.

The teaser follows the US launch of the Motorola Razr Fold on April 29. The device was earlier introduced globally at MWC 2026 in March.

Globally, the foldable is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset built on a 3nm process, with a peak clock speed of 3.8GHz. It comes with an Adreno A829 GPU, a Hexagon NPU-based AI Engine, up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

The phone features an 8.1-inch 2K (2484 x 2232 pixels) LTPO pOLED foldable inner display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 6200 nits peak brightness. On the outside, it offers a 6.6-inch (1080 x 2520 pixels) LTPO pOLED cover display with up to 165Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 protection, and up to 6000 nits peak brightness.

The device carries an IP49 rating for dust and water resistance. It is backed by a 6000mAh silicon carbon battery with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
