In a sign of how AI is reshaping recruitment, LinkedIn has revealed that its AI-powered hiring solutions are on track to generate $450 million in annual revenue.
The professional networking platform, owned by Microsoft, shared that its newer hiring products built on agentic AI are gaining strong traction. This marks one of the first times the company has disclosed revenue figures tied to a core AI offering. LinkedIn currently has 1 billion members and earns a large share of its revenue from tools designed for recruiters and sales professionals.
The company has introduced 2 key AI-driven hiring products, designed separately for large enterprises and small businesses. These tools use AI agents that take instructions from recruiters, understand hiring requirements, and scan profiles across the platform to identify suitable candidates. The shortlisted profiles are then passed on to human recruiters for further action.
LinkedIn said these tools were tested for nearly 1 year before launch. Early results show that recruiters are saving time and seeing higher response rates from potential candidates.
“Recruiters told us half their day was low-value work, so we made a bet on understanding their pain to get our solution right,” Dan Shapero, LinkedIn’s new CEO, said. “That focus on the customer, not racing to launch an AI agent, was the right one and hitting this milestone shows it.”
While Microsoft reports LinkedIn’s growth within its productivity and business processes segment, it does not break out standalone revenue figures for the platform. This update offers a clearer view of how AI is becoming a major revenue driver.
The development highlights the growing role of AI in hiring, where automation is helping reduce manual effort while improving efficiency in talent acquisition.
