Fresh details about an upcoming laptop from Samsung have appeared online, hinting at a new addition to its Galaxy Book 6 lineup.
The Galaxy Book 6 series, which includes 3 models powered by Intel Panther Lake processors, was launched in India last month after its global debut. Now, a 4th model, the Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Edge, has been spotted on an e-commerce listing in Austria, revealing key specifications, pricing, and design details. The device is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon X series processor.
Price and availability
According to the retailer listing, the Galaxy Book 6 Edge is priced at EUR 2,199 (approximately ₹2,43,000) for the variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. It may be available in a Light Blue colour option. However, Samsung has not officially confirmed the launch yet.
Display and design
The laptop is expected to feature a 16-inch WQXGA+ (2,880 x 1,800 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. It may offer 500 nits brightness, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and an anti-glare coating. A backlit keyboard is also shown in the listing.
In terms of build, the device could measure 355.4 x 12.3 x 250.4 mm and weigh around 1.55 kg. It may also include a fingerprint scanner for added security.
Performance and hardware
The Galaxy Book 6 Edge is expected to run on Windows 11 Home. It could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite chipset with a peak clock speed of 4 GHz. The processor may be paired with an Adreno GPU and a Qualcomm Hexagon NPU delivering 80 TOPS.
The laptop is listed with 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB SSD storage.
Connectivity and battery
The device may include a Full-HD webcam and multiple connectivity options such as 1 HDMI 2.1 port, 1 USB 3.2 port, 2 USB 4.0 ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroSD card reader. Wireless support is expected to include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
It could be backed by a 61.8Wh battery, which is claimed to deliver up to 22 hours of usage.
