In a move to target heavy data users, Reliance Jio has rolled out a new prepaid offering designed for gaming, streaming, and social media usage. The Youth and Gaming Plan combines high data limits with entertainment subscriptions and cloud-based services.
Priced at ₹459, the plan comes with a validity of 28 days and offers a total of 61GB data. This includes 2GB per day along with an extra 5GB of high-speed data. After the daily limit is exhausted, internet speeds reduce to 64Kbps. Users also get unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day, along with access to unlimited 5G data under Jio’s True 5G network for eligible users.
The plan includes bundled access to multiple digital platforms. Subscribers can use JioGames Mobile, watch content on FanCode via JioTV, and access Snapchat+. It also offers a 3-month mobile subscription to JioHotstar and 50GB cloud storage on JioAICloud.
In addition, the plan provides access to Google Gemini Pro for 18 months, a benefit valued at ₹35,100. This includes advanced AI features and 5TB of cloud storage. Users must continue recharging with eligible Jio plans to retain these benefits.
To activate the bundled services, users need to log in using the same mobile number linked to their Jio connection. Timely recharges are also required to keep certain subscriptions active.
Separately, a recent report suggests that Jio users travelling abroad can receive incoming SMS for free through Wi-Fi calling. This feature works without an international roaming pack, provided VoWiFi is enabled, and the device is connected to a stable internet network. It allows users to receive OTPs and banking alerts without additional charges.
