Tech Mahindra sets up Pune hub to drive AI-led telecom innovation

At a time when telecom operators are navigating rapid change, Tech Mahindra has introduced a new Communications Experience Center (CEC) in Pune to support innovation and growth. The facility is designed to help Communications Service Providers (CSPs) co-create solutions and rethink operations, customer experience, and business models through AI-led technologies.

Positioned as a central hub for the telecom industry, the CEC builds on Tech Mahindra’s 40 years of experience in communications. It will also be supported by satellite innovation centers across global markets, aligned to regional needs but connected through a unified framework.

The center offers immersive demonstrations, industry-specific use cases, and collaborative spaces for CXO-level leaders. Key focus areas include agentic customer and employee journeys, autonomous network operations, digital consumer models, and connected enterprise ecosystems. It also highlights AI-native, cloud-first platforms with secure telecom-focused AI use cases, along with partner-led co-creation zones to drive ecosystem innovation.

Amol Phadke, Chief Transformation Officer at Tech Mahindra, said: “Communications Service Providers are at a defining moment as they navigate rising complexity alongside the need for sustainable growth. Our Communications Experience Center in Pune serves as a nerve center where CSPs can rethink growth, agentic operations, and customer experience, moving from experimentation to production.”

The initiative is guided by Tech Mahindra’s telecom strategy — Grow, Empower, and Transform. The CEC will focus on building new growth platforms, API-led ecosystems, B2B2X models, and agentic operations. It also aims to accelerate AI-native, cloud-first, and autonomous network transformations.

With its strong telecom heritage and contributions to global industry standards, Tech Mahindra continues to position itself as a digital transformation partner. The new center is expected to help CSPs manage complex transformation journeys and deliver scalable, long-term business value.
