Formerly known as Nectar Lifesciences Ltd, the company is a ~$200 million business unit and part of the Virchow Group. His appointment comes as the company looks to strengthen its position in active pharmaceutical ingredients and the broader pharmaceutical products segment.
Before joining Ceph Lifesciences, Singh built a long career at Punjab Chemicals and Crop Protection Limited, where he was associated for more than 4 decades. Most recently, he served as Non-Executive Director since 2021. Prior to that, he was Director of Operations and Business Development from 1997 to 2021, leading strategic growth, overseeing operations, driving business development, and improving efficiency. Earlier, as Head of Operations, he managed end-to-end operations with a focus on productivity, quality, and cost optimisation, while strengthening systems and processes. His journey with the company began in 1981, building a strong operational foundation.
He also served as Independent Director at SCL Lifesciences Limited, contributing to governance, compliance, risk management, and strategic decision-making.
Earlier in his leadership journey, Singh was Joint Managing Director at Transpek Industry Ltd from 2021 to 2026, where he led strategic direction and business performance. During the same period, he also served as Managing Director at TML Industries Limited, overseeing business strategy, manufacturing, product development, and market expansion across domestic and global markets.
Singh began his career as an R&D Chemist at Gharda Chemicals Limited in 1980, gaining early experience in scientific research and product development.
With leadership experience spanning operations, business development, governance, specialty chemicals, and life sciences, Singh brings a strong and seasoned executive profile to Ceph Lifesciences as it advances its growth under the Virchow Group.
