Vanessa brings over 20 years of HR leadership experience to support the company’s people and transformation agenda in the region.
In this role, she will lead HR strategy, talent management, and organizational transformation, aligning people priorities with business goals as the company expands across Africa.
Before joining NTT DATA Middle East and Africa, Goonahsylin spent over 13 years at Accenture, most recently serving as Human Resources Director. She played a key role in shaping HR strategy, talent development, and workforce transformation across the region.
During Vanessa’s tenure, she also served as Africa Talent Lead & Talent Futurist, leading initiatives in headcount planning, succession planning, talent forecasting, and workforce optimization. She helped align talent strategies with business growth, addressed skills gaps, and drove large-scale workforce transformation across Africa.
Earlier at Accenture, she worked as HR Business Partner and Talent Planning & Operations Lead, focusing on workforce planning, resource deployment, productivity, and strategic staffing.
Prior to Accenture, she spent over 8 years at Gijima in roles including Capability and Capacity Planning Consultant and Human Capital Manager – Staffing Services. Here, she built strong expertise in workforce planning, talent acquisition, and HR strategy execution in complex IT environments.
She holds a postgraduate qualification in Management Practice from Henley Business School.
With more than 20 years of experience, Goonahsylin brings strong expertise in talent strategy, workforce planning, HR transformation, and organizational effectiveness. Her appointment is expected to support NTT DATA’s people strategy and growth in South Africa.
