Victoria’s Secret & Co. welcomes Lucrecia Borgonovo as Chief People Officer

The move marks a significant milestone in her global HR career and positions her to shape the company’s people strategy, leadership culture, and organizational effectiveness across international markets.

Borgonovo brings extensive experience across talent management, capability building, organizational development, and HR business partnership, offering a well-rounded global perspective.

Before this, she spent over 8 years at Mastercard, most recently serving as Chief Talent and Organizational Effectiveness Officer in New York, US. In this role, she led key talent and organizational priorities, contributing to leadership effectiveness, capability development, and broader people strategy. She also held the position of EVP, People & Capability Business Partner, aligning people strategies with business goals.

Earlier, Borgonovo worked at Nike as VP HR for Emerging Markets / Asia Pacific Latin America, based in Beaverton, Oregon. This role added strong international exposure, covering multiple high-growth regions.

Borgonovo also served as SVP, Human Resources, Global Core Products at Mastercard, further strengthening her senior HR leadership experience in a global financial services environment.

A major part of her career was spent at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where she worked for over 13 years across multiple HR leadership roles. These included Executive Director, Human Resources, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing; Director, Human Resources for Japan, Canada, and Asia Pacific; and Associate Director roles across talent management, acquisition, leadership development, and organizational transformation. She also held HR manager roles across US Pharmaceuticals and was part of the company’s Human Resources Associate Program, completing several HR rotations.

With experience spanning financial services, consumer brands, sportswear, and pharmaceuticals, Borgonovo brings a strong cross-sector and global perspective. Her appointment is expected to support Victoria’s Secret & Co.’s focus on strengthening its workforce and advancing its global people agenda.
