Realme preparing to launch P4 Lite 5G in India with teased design

India’s smartphone market is set to see another addition as Realme prepares to introduce a new variant of its P series device. The company is gearing up to launch the Realme P4 Lite 5G, which will bring 5G connectivity to the lineup.

The upcoming smartphone follows the launch of the Realme P4 Lite in India last month. While the earlier model supported 4G LTE, the new variant is expected to deliver faster connectivity with 5G support.

A dedicated microsite for the device has already gone live on Flipkart, hinting at its upcoming launch in the country. Although the page does not directly display the phone’s name, the URL confirms that it will be marketed as the Realme P4 Lite 5G.

The company has also teased the design of the smartphone. Images suggest that the handset will feature three separate cutouts on the rear panel, which could house a triple-camera setup. Another cutout placed near the camera module is expected to include an LED flash.

However, several details about the device are still unknown. The exact launch date in India, chipset, battery capacity, camera specifications, and pricing have not yet been disclosed.

The Realme P4 Lite 5G will serve as the 5G version of the Realme P4 Lite, which was launched in India on February 24. The 4G model was introduced at a starting price of ₹9,999 for the 4GB + 64GB storage variant.

Currently, the Realme P4 Lite is available for purchase on Flipkart in Beach Gold, Obsidian Black, and Sea Blue colour options.

To recall, the Realme P4 Lite features a 6.74-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 × 1,600 pixels. The screen supports a refresh rate of up to 90Hz and offers up to 563 nits of peak brightness.

The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T7250 chipset built on a 12nm process, with a peak clock speed of 1.8GHz. It comes with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

In terms of cameras, the device includes a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. The phone is backed by a 6,300mAh battery and supports 15W wired charging.
