Expanding its entry-level smartphone portfolio, Tecno has launched the Tecno Pop X in India. The new handset from the Transsion-owned brand features a 120Hz LCD display, IP64 protection and a 5,000mAh battery. The device will go on sale later this week and also supports calling nearby users even without a cellular network connection.
The Tecno Pop X is priced at Rs. 8,499 for the 4GB+64GB RAM and storage variant. It comes in Chilly Green and Flare White colour options. According to the product listing on Amazon India, the smartphone will be available starting March 6 through the online platform and other retail outlets. As part of a launch offer, buyers using eligible HDFC Bank cards can purchase the device at a discounted price of Rs. 7,749.
On the specifications front, the dual SIM Tecno Pop X runs on Android 15 with HiOS 15 on top. It is powered by a 12nm octa core Unisoc T7250 processor, paired with 4GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB eMMC storage. The handset features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 720×1,600 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate and 260ppi pixel density. For optics, it has a single 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.85 aperture, despite the appearance of dual sensors on the back. An 8-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls. The device carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The smartphone includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging support. It ships with a 10W charger in the box. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS and USB Type-C. It also features an IR transmitter to control home appliances and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Tecno Pop X measures 167.79×77.97×8.18mm and weighs 182.6g.
