Strengthening its technology leadership, SAICA has announced the appointment of Yosheen Padayachee as Group Chief Information Officer, bringing deep expertise in digital transformation, innovation, and enterprise technology strategy.
South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) has welcomed Yosheen Padayachee to lead its information and technology function. In her new role, she will oversee IT strategy, service and solution delivery, enterprise architecture, governance, and innovation, with a focus on long-term value creation and sustainability.
Padayachee holds a Master of Science in Technology and Innovation, a Bachelor of Commerce in Informatics, and a Project Management Professional certification. She is also pursuing a doctorate in Technology and Innovation. With over 20 years of experience, she has led complex, large-scale IT programmes across multiple industries, including financial services and business services.
Her professional background spans IT strategy, mergers and acquisitions, risk management, governance and compliance, and business and systems analysis. She is widely recognised for delivering transformation initiatives that align technology with business goals, enhance customer experience, and drive resilient growth.
Alongside her new role, Padayachee serves as Non-Executive Director at CIO Nexus. She is known for building high-performing teams, shaping technology roadmaps, and fostering innovation cultures. Her work includes leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, cloud computing, and data analytics to improve performance and strengthen governance frameworks.
Padayachee is also a doctoral student at the DaVinci Institute, reflecting her continued commitment to research and thought leadership in technology and innovation.
