Positioning itself to support the next phase of digital adoption among Indian businesses, Zoho has launched a new enterprise resource planning platform that brings multiple core functions into a single system. The company says the product is aimed at organisations that are ready to upgrade from basic accounting software to more integrated solutions.
The Chennai-based tech company announced the launch of Zoho ERP in Kumbakonam. The platform combines finance, billing, supply chain, payroll, and asset management in one system, with built-in support for GST and other India-specific compliance requirements.
Zoho ERP is designed to be simple to deploy and customise. The company said it offers low-code and no-code tools that reduce dependence on external system integrators and third-party consultants. This approach is intended to speed up implementation and lower overall costs for businesses.
The platform also includes the Ask Zia AI assistant, which helps automate routine tasks and identify potential issues at an early stage. Zoho said this feature is meant to improve efficiency and decision-making without adding complexity.
To avoid a one-size-fits-all approach, Zoho ERP comes with industry-specific modules. These are tailored for sectors such as manufacturing, retail, and non-profits, allowing businesses to adopt features that match their operations more closely.
Zoho is positioning the platform as a homegrown alternative to global enterprise software providers such as SAP and Oracle. According to the company, Zoho ERP can significantly reduce implementation time and the total cost of ownership for Indian enterprises.
The initial focus for Zoho ERP will be the Indian market. While the company has confirmed plans for an international rollout, it has not shared a timeline.
As part of its long-term strategy, Zoho is expanding its Kumbakonam campus to accommodate 2,000 employees. The expansion signals the company’s intent to invest further in developing tools that help Indian businesses transition from older software systems like Tally to more advanced and intelligent platforms.
