Ishan Technologies plans ₹300 crore investment to expand AI infrastructure

Ishan Technologies has marked 25 years of operations with the announcement of a ₹300 crore investment plan aimed at strengthening AI driven digital infrastructure across India. The company said the investment will focus on expanding AI ready connectivity, sovereign cloud, cybersecurity, and platform based digital services across metro markets as well as Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, while also supporting entry into new and emerging regions.

As India accelerates its adoption of AI, cloud connectivity, and stronger data governance frameworks, Ishan is moving beyond standalone telecom offerings to a unified platform led approach. Its integrated model brings together data networks, cloud interconnect, MPLS, SASE, and bandwidth on demand under a single framework. This enables enterprises and public institutions to build secure, software defined, and scalable digital environments with higher resilience and improved transparency.

People remain a core pillar of Ishan’s growth strategy. The company currently employs over 2000 professionals across engineering, network operations, cloud, cybersecurity, and managed services. It plans to grow its workforce by 20% over the next 24 months, with a strong emphasis on developing regional talent pools. Founded in 2000, Ishan has grown from a regional ISP into a national technology partner operating in more than 100 locations. Its infrastructure footprint includes owned fiber networks, a National Long Distance license, edge PoPs, carrier grade platforms, and Rated 3 data center capabilities.

Ishan is empanelled with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology as a Cloud Service Provider, follows CMMI Level 3 certified delivery processes assessed by a consulting firm, and is listed under the IndiaAI initiative as a digital infrastructure provider. The company has delivered several mission critical projects across government, aviation, BFSI, and national digital platforms, aligning closely with India’s focus on digital sovereignty and secure domestic infrastructure. Headquartered in Gujarat, Ishan views the state as a future hub for AI and data led industries. Looking ahead, the company is targeting a 10x scale over the next 3 to 4 years as it shifts from execution to platform excellence, while continuing to prioritise reliability, trust, and customer experience.
