Tecno hints at Pova Curve 2 India launch with early design reveal

Ahead of its official debut, Tecno has started teasing its next smartphone for the Indian market, offering a first glimpse at the design and some early hardware details.

The company has confirmed that the Tecno Pova Curve 2 will launch in India soon. The device will succeed the Tecno Pova Curve 5G, which was introduced in the country in May 2025. While the exact launch date has not been announced, teasers and certification listings have begun shedding light on the phone’s design, camera layout, and core specifications.

In a recent post on X, Tecno shared a translucent render highlighting part of the handset’s curved edge. The teaser suggests that the Pova Curve 2 will continue the curved design language seen on its predecessor. An earlier teaser had also pointed to a circular rear camera cutout placed within a larger camera module, though the full shape of the module was not revealed. The overall styling appears similar to the Tecno Pova Curve 5G.

Further details about the device have reportedly surfaced through a Google Play Console listing. The listing mentions the model number “TECNO-LK7k” and clearly identifies the phone as the Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G.

As per the database, the smartphone is expected to be powered by a MediaTek MT6858 chipset, paired with an ARM Mali-G610 GPU clocked at 1,000MHz. The CPU configuration shows a 1+3+4 layout, featuring one Cortex-A78 core and three Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.5GHz, along with four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. Despite the unusual layout, the chipset and GPU details suggest that the device could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 SoC.

The same listing reportedly indicates that the Tecno Pova Curve 2 will ship with Android 16 and offer up to 12GB of RAM. Display specifications are expected to include a 1080 × 2364 pixel resolution with a pixel density of 420ppi.

Additionally, the model number has also been spotted on the TUV certification platform. This listing suggests that the upcoming handset may feature a 7,750mAh lithium-ion polymer battery.

More official details about the Tecno Pova Curve 2 are expected to be revealed by the company in the coming days.
