ServiceNow partners with Anthropic to speed up and secure enterprise AI development

A new collaboration between ServiceNow and Anthropic aims to help businesses build and deploy AI applications faster while maintaining strong safety and governance controls.

Under the partnership, Anthropic’s Claude models are being deeply integrated into the ServiceNow platform to support enterprise app development and key business processes, with an early focus on healthcare and life sciences. Claude will serve as the default model for ServiceNow’s Build Agent, enabling developers of all skill levels to create agent-based workflows using simple natural language instructions.

ServiceNow has already deployed Claude and Claude Code across its own workforce of 29,000 employees. The company said this has reduced sales preparation time by up to 95% and accelerated engineering work from concept to usable code.

The integration also brings Claude into ServiceNow’s AI Control Tower, allowing companies to manage governance, monitoring, and compliance as they expand AI use across departments. In sectors such as healthcare, the companies expect the technology to cut claims processing time from days to hours while lowering costs, supported by Claude’s strong performance on medical benchmarks. ServiceNow said customers could see rollout timelines reduced by about 50%, from initial sales discussions to live deployment.

“ServiceNow with Anthropic is turning intelligence into action,” said CEO Bill McDermott. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei added that the goal is to embed AI directly into everyday work so it delivers practical results.

The partnership supports ServiceNow’s multi-model approach, which already includes integrations with other leading AI providers. With Claude now added as a core option, customers can choose models based on use case and compliance needs. ServiceNow said its platform already handles about 80 billion workflows each year, and the new tools are designed to move beyond chat-based AI toward systems that can reason, act, and execute tasks automatically.

The combined solution is now available to enterprise users. Both companies say the focus is on agent-based automation that can manage real business processes, rather than only answering questions.
