Maharashtra partners with Supervity AI to launch AI GCC hub in Mumbai

A major step toward next-generation enterprise innovation is taking shape as Mumbai prepares to host a first-of-its-kind artificial intelligence hub. The Maharashtra government has signed a landmark memorandum of understanding with Supervity AI at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos to establish the world’s first AI Global Capability Centre (GCC) Hub.

Located in Bandra Kurla Complex, the hub will function as an applied agentic AI research, development, and innovation centre for global enterprises. It is designed to support organisations looking to adopt advanced AI systems across core business operations.

The AI GCC Hub will allow companies to design, test, deploy, and scale autonomous, policy-driven multi-agent AI employees. These AI systems will be used across areas such as finance, procurement, compliance, supply chain management, and customer operations. Unlike traditional global capability centres, this hub will focus on self-driving AI systems built with enterprise-grade governance and strong auditability.

The initiative marks a shift away from conventional GCC models that rely heavily on human-led scale. Instead, the hub will centre on AI-led execution, enabling enterprises to operate with greater speed, consistency, and oversight through intelligent automation.

As part of the partnership, the Maharashtra government will also support large-scale talent development. The initiative includes plans to train up to 25,000 forward-deployed AI engineers over time, creating a skilled workforce capable of supporting enterprise AI adoption at scale.

Commenting on the collaboration, Siva Moduga, co-founder and CEO of Supervity AI, said, “Enterprise operations are undergoing a structural shift. Traditional GBS and GCC models were designed for scale through human effort, whereas the next decade demands scale through AI execution with strong governance.”

The proposed hub positions Mumbai as a central destination for applied enterprise AI innovation. By combining policy support, advanced AI research, and large-scale talent development, the initiative aims to redefine how global enterprises build and operate their digital and operational capabilities.
