Nokia revives the iconic 1100 with modern touches at ₹2,500 in 2026

Stepping away from smartphones and touchscreens, Nokia has brought back one of its most iconic devices in a refreshed form for 2026. The Nokia 1100, once the world’s best-selling phone, has returned with a modern design while keeping its core promise of simplicity and durability.

Called the Nokia 1100 2026, the device is priced at ₹2,500 and is aimed at users who want stress-free calling, long battery life, and a dependable everyday phone. Nokia positions it as a practical choice rather than a flashy one.

The phone keeps its familiar boxy design but now uses aluminium and reinforced polycarbonate, making it tougher and more premium. It weighs just 85 g, feels light in hand, and is built to handle dust and drops. The ceramic keypad delivers a firm click, glows in the dark, and brings back the classic torch button.

It features a 2.4-inch E Ink display that remains clear in bright sunlight and consumes very little power. The phone is available in Midnight Black, Arctic Silver, and Heritage Blue, keeping the look clean and classic.

Running on KaiOS 3.0, the phone supports shortcut keys for calls and WhatsApp, blending keypad use with basic smart features. T9 typing feels smooth, with vibration feedback for better control.

Powering the device is a Qualcomm 215 processor, paired with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB storage, expandable up to 32 GB. It supports 5G with VoLTE and VoWiFi, ensuring clear calls even in rural areas.

The standout feature is the 6000 mAh battery, which Nokia claims can deliver up to 25 days of standby and weeks of talk time. A 13 MP rear camera with AI support handles basic photography.

Preloaded apps include Snake multiplayer, YouTube, offline Google Maps, FM radio, MP3 player, and a flashlight. The phone also offers IP54 splash resistance, SOS features, and strong vibration alerts.

With growing interest in simple and reliable devices, the Nokia 1100 2026 positions itself as a backup phone, a daily driver, or a digital detox tool. Nokia appears to be betting that simplicity still has a strong future.
