Baya Systems is strengthening its presence in India by expanding its engineering hub in Bengaluru as part of a long-term investment plan focused on artificial intelligence, high performance computing and automotive semiconductor solutions. The move reflects the company’s focus on supporting rising global demand for advanced AI infrastructure and next generation data centre technologies.
Founded in 2023, the US based semiconductor intellectual property company develops software driven, chiplet ready semiconductor fabric IP used in scalable AI and HPC systems. The expanded facility is located at Brigade Metropolis in Bengaluru and has grown steadily since launch. The team has expanded from five engineers at the start to over fifty today and is expected to cross hundred employees by the end of 2026.
The Bengaluru centre plays a key role in developing and delivering software defined fabric technologies designed for chiplet based system architectures. According to the company, the expansion is aimed at improving execution speed and enhancing collaboration across global teams. India’s strong semiconductor design capabilities and deep software engineering talent have been major factors behind the scale up.
This expansion aligns with Baya Systems’ broader strategy of building engineering capacity across leading innovation hubs worldwide. As part of this global approach, the company recently opened its first European office in Cambridge in the UK to support product development and customer engagement across regions. Together, these investments underline Baya Systems’ focus on building a distributed global engineering footprint to meet the growing needs of AI driven computing markets.
