The company is a third generation family owned enterprise known for building, acquiring, and expanding businesses across sectors and regions. In this role, Ilan will lead financial strategy and governance while supporting the company’s long term investment approach. He will also oversee financial operations across its diversified portfolio.
Before joining Fairfield Maxwell Ltd., Ilan worked as Chief Financial Officer at 166 second. He spent almost one and a half years guiding financial strategy, supporting portfolio management, and improving financial processes in a family office setting. His work focused on strengthening financial discipline and reinforcing stewardship across the organisation.
Earlier, Ilan spent more than eleven years at The Heyman Enterprise as Chief Financial Officer. He gained extensive experience across hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate, and multi asset portfolio structures. His leadership helped him manage complex financial systems within a major family office network in New York. This strengthened his skills in strategic financial management and cross asset oversight.
Before that, Ilan held senior roles at Cooperstown Capital Management as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Principal. He had also served as Chief Financial Officer at Durham Asset Management LLC for more than six years. In these positions, he managed hedge fund operations, private equity portfolios, credit structures, and advanced debt products such as collateralised loan obligations and bank debt.
At the beginning of his career, Ilan worked as Chief Financial Officer at Scout Capital Management. In this role, he built a strong foundation in accounting, hedge funds, and equities. These early experiences shaped the technical depth and market insight that define his leadership approach today.
