Amid rising demand for industrial automation in India, Yamaha Motor has launched a new Robotics Business Support Division in Gurugram, Haryana. The facility has been established within Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. as part of the company’s plan to strengthen its robotics and automation business in the country.
The new division will initially focus on providing sales and service support for SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Assembly Systems and industrial robots. Yamaha also plans to expand into semiconductor back-end processing equipment in the future as India’s manufacturing sector continues to grow rapidly.
The company said the increasing sophistication of Indian manufacturing has created strong opportunities for advanced robotics and automation technologies. To support this demand, the new facility includes a dedicated showroom where customers can experience Yamaha’s latest robotics solutions and evaluate their applications across different manufacturing environments.
Yamaha stated that the Robotics Business Support Division has been created to improve sales operations, strengthen service support, and simplify business processes for Yamaha-branded robotics products in India. The company added that the move will also support future investments and expansion plans in the Indian market.
The initiative is aimed at helping manufacturers address production challenges, improve operational efficiency, and increase productivity through advanced automation systems.
India has been witnessing growing investments in automation, robotics, and semiconductor-related technologies as companies look to modernise manufacturing operations and strengthen industrial capabilities.
