Wipro has strengthened its consulting leadership with the appointment of Dr. (H.C.) Anil Jain as Managing Partner and Head of the India Consulting Hub. He will also join the Consulting Executive Committee as a member.
The appointment is focused on strengthening the connectivity, capabilities and scale of Wipro’s global consulting organisation as the company continues to advance its consulting-led and AI-powered strategy.
Jain joins Wipro after nearly 7 years at Accenture. He most recently served as Managing Director, CMT Market Lead – Americas and Cross-Industry GCC Strategy & Consulting Global Network. In this role, he led the Americas market for Accenture’s Strategy & Consulting Global Network, overseeing growth, revenue and sales origination. He also provided leadership to around 1,000 management consultants serving clients across industries.
Earlier, he was Managing Director, Industry Strategy Lead, Accenture Strategy – Global Network. He built and led an industry strategy team covering 19 industries. He also helped expand the company’s Communications & Media consulting business by bringing together industry strategy, technology and transformation capabilities.
Before returning to consulting, Jain held several operating leadership roles. At G4S India, he served as Director Operations, managing pan-India operations involving more than 100,000 personnel. His responsibilities included P&L delivery, enterprise relationships and large-scale deployments.
At Jio, he held leadership roles including Business Head – Jio Point and National Head, Channel Sales – Connectivity Business. He contributed to the expansion of Jio’s nationwide customer and retail footprint.
His earlier career included senior roles at Aircel as National Sales Head – Prepaid and National CLM Head – Corporate Marketing. He also held leadership positions at Alghanim Industries and Bharti Airtel.
Jain spent more than 9 years with Electrolux Kelvinator, moving across sales, product management, marketing and category leadership. He also participated in an international accelerated leadership development programme with assignments across multiple markets.
He began his career in sales with Bakelite Hylam Limited before joining Modi Hoover International. His career now spans more than 3 decades across consulting, telecommunications, consumer businesses, technology, strategy, operations and large-scale transformation.
At Wipro, Jain will focus on developing high-performing talent, strengthening collaboration across global markets and bringing together consulting, technology and AI to drive client impact and growth.
