WAGO names Björn Twiehaus as CEO to lead its next phase of global growth

WAGO has appointed Björn Twiehaus as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective September 15, 2026, as the company enters its next phase of global growth and innovation. He succeeds Jürgen Koopsingraven, who has been serving as Interim CEO alongside his responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer.

In his new role, Twiehaus will lead WAGO’s global business strategy, focusing on expanding the company’s connection and automation technology portfolio while strengthening customer focus, operational excellence, innovation and international growth. His appointment also completes WAGO’s Executive Management Board.

Twiehaus joins WAGO from the Marquardt Group, where he served as Member of the Management Board and CEO Automotive. He led the company’s global automotive business, driving strategic growth, innovation, operational performance and customer partnerships across the automotive electronics sector.

Before joining Marquardt, he spent more than 24 years at FORVIA HELLA, holding several senior leadership positions. Most recently, he served as Member of the Management Board, Business Division Electronics, where he led one of the company’s largest global business divisions, overseeing technology innovation, product strategy and international business development.

Earlier, he was Member of the Executive Board – Product Center Energy Management, leading the company’s energy management business. During his tenure, he also held leadership roles including Vice President, Head of Program Management Body Control Modules, Vice President, Head of Global Sales Excellence, Head of the SMD Center Manufacturing Operations, Operational Excellence Manager, Assistant to the Plant Manager, and Manufacturing Engineer.

With more than 24 years of international leadership experience across the electronics and automotive industries, Twiehaus brings expertise in Business Strategy, Executive Leadership, Electronics Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Product Management, Operational Excellence, Global Sales, Engineering, Digital Transformation, Customer-Centric Innovation, Manufacturing Operations and Organizational Growth.

His appointment reflects WAGO’s continued focus on strengthening its leadership team while accelerating innovation and expanding its global presence in connection and automation technology.
