VTT is strengthening its people leadership as it moves forward with its new strategy, appointing Dr. Sanna Hildén as Chief People Officer and a member of its Executive Leadership Team. She will take up the role on September 1, 2026.
Hildén joins VTT from Gofore, where she has served as Chief People and Strategy Officer since 2019. In that role, she has led the group’s people strategy, covering employer branding, employee experience, culture, leadership development and strategy execution.
Earlier in her career, Hildén worked as HR Director at Pihlajalinna and as a postdoctoral researcher at Tampere University.
Her academic background also closely connects with VTT’s current priorities. Hildén completed her doctoral dissertation on organisational change capability, an area that aligns with VTT’s strategy and its goal of strengthening change capability across its organisation of more than 2,000 research and technology experts.
As Chief People Officer, Hildén will report to President and CEO Kalle Härkki and join the company’s Executive Leadership Team.
She succeeds Kirsi Nuotto, who has served as SVP, People and Culture and is retiring after 10 years with VTT. During her tenure, Nuotto played a key role in developing the organisation’s leadership and culture.
Hildén’s experience across people strategy, organisational change, culture and leadership development brings a strong combination of strategic and people-focused expertise to VTT as it advances its next phase.
