New leaks have revealed the expected camera specifications of the upcoming Vivo X500, suggesting the smartphone could arrive with a powerful triple rear camera setup. The latest details come shortly after the camera hardware of the Vivo X500 Pro Max surfaced online.
According to a tipster, the engineering prototype of the Vivo X500 is expected to feature a 50-megapixel Sony primary camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor. It could be paired with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 64-megapixel Sony periscope telephoto camera featuring a 1/2-inch sensor and a 70mm equivalent focal length.
The leak also suggests that telephoto macro support is not available on the current prototype. However, the feature is expected to be included before the smartphone enters mass production.
The same tipster recently revealed the camera specifications of the Vivo X500 Pro Max. The flagship model is expected to feature a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and an additional 50-megapixel telephoto sensor.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that the Vivo X500 Pro engineering prototype could include a 50-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and LOFIC technology. It is also expected to feature a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. The device is unlikely to include the 200-megapixel telephoto sensor reserved for the Pro Max variant.
Previous reports suggest the Vivo X500 lineup may include 4 models — Vivo X500, X500e, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. The series is also expected to offer multiple display sizes, ranging from compact smartphones to larger-screen models, allowing the company to cater to different user preferences across various market segments.
