Vivo unveils Y500 4G featuring Unisoc chipset and 50MP rear camera

Expanding its Y-series portfolio, Vivo has introduced the Vivo Y500 4G in select global markets. The smartphone arrives with an 8,100mAh battery, a redesigned rear camera module, and a Unisoc chipset. Compared to the Vivo Y500 5G, which was launched in China in September last year, the new 4G model features a slightly smaller battery and a rectangular rear camera setup instead of a circular module.

The Vivo Y500 4G is priced at PKR 99,999 (around Rs. 34,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB model costs PKR 1,09,999 (around Rs. 38,000). The handset is currently available through Vivo’s online store in Pakistan in Midnight Blue and Pearl White colour options.

The smartphone runs on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 5,000 nits peak brightness, 449ppi pixel density, Q10+ luminescent material, and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut. It also comes with an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

Powering the device is a 6nm octa-core Unisoc T7300 processor with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. For thermal management, Vivo has included a vapour chamber cooling system with a 4,300 sq mm heat dissipation area.

For photography, the Vivo Y500 4G offers a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor featuring an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it houses a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

The smartphone packs an 8,100mAh battery with support for 44W wired fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS. It also includes an in-display fingerprint sensor and measures 163.73×76.18×8.19mm while weighing around 210g.
