Sony has expanded its professional audio lineup in India with the launch of the IER-M500, a wired in-ear monitor designed for professional audio monitoring and live performance. The earphones combine a compact design with passive noise isolation and features aimed at keeping them secure during movement.
The Sony IER-M500 is priced at Rs. 10,990 in India and is available in Black, Clear, Red and Blue colour options. It can be purchased through Amazon, Flipkart, Real Image, Sound Glitz, Headphone Zone and other offline retailers.
The earphones use a 5mm dynamic driver and offer a frequency response range of 10Hz to 40,000Hz, along with 16-ohm impedance at 1kHz and a sensitivity rating of 103dB/mW.
Sony has used a sealed housing and internal acoustic structure to reduce external noise. Multiple noise-isolating ear tips are included to improve passive noise isolation and support clearer reproduction across low and high frequencies.
For connectivity, the IER-M500 comes with a 1.6m Y-type cable and an L-shaped stereo mini plug. The cable is designed to withstand repeated bending and includes an adjustable clip to keep it in place while reducing contact noise during use.
The earphones also come with fitting supporters intended to keep them securely positioned during movement. Sony says the IER-M500 has been tested for water resistance for stage use.
The package includes multiple ear-tip sizes, fitting supporters, a cable clip, carrying pouch and operating instructions. The earphones weigh approximately 6.9g without the cable.
Sony first introduced the IER-M500 in the US in July before bringing the model to India.
