Sodexo has appointed Harish Kumar as Regional Head of Human Resources, where he will focus on aligning HR strategies with business goals, strengthening workforce capabilities and building an engaged, productive and high-performing workforce across the region.
Kumar joins Sodexo with extensive experience in human resources management, talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement and HR operations across multiple industries.
Before this appointment, he served as Branch Lead at Compass Group India, managing talent acquisition, HR operations, payroll, rewards and recognition, employee engagement, statutory compliance, administration, facilities and staff accommodation.
He previously held senior HR leadership positions at VRO Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. as Human Resources Director and at GOPIZZA India as Head of Human Resources. His responsibilities included recruitment, workforce planning, payroll, HR operations and learning and development.
Kumar also worked at Curefoods as Lead Project Manager, overseeing talent acquisition and HR operations across India while supporting strategic HR initiatives across multiple locations.
Earlier, he spent more than 5 years at Compass Group India as Assistant General Manager, handling recruitment, HR operations, payroll, compliance, employee engagement and facilities management.
His professional journey also includes over 7 years as Regional Head of Human Resources at Domino’s Pizza and Dunkin’ Donuts, where he managed talent acquisition and HR operations across the South Region. He began his career with assignments at B one C HR Solutions, Manpower Services, Morpheus Career Consultants and Dewdrop Career Solutions.
In his new role at Sodexo, Kumar brings more than 2 decades of experience spanning HR strategy, talent management, workforce operations, compliance and business partnering. His experience across hospitality, food services and related sectors will support the company’s efforts to strengthen its regional human resources function.
