KPMG India has promoted Sharon Singh Thakur to the role of Director, recognizing her 10-year journey with the firm and her contributions to cybersecurity, technology consulting, and digital transformation.
Sharon has built her entire professional career at KPMG India, progressing through several leadership positions over the past 10+ years. She began as an Associate Consultant and steadily advanced through the roles of Consultant, Assistant Manager, Manager, and Associate Director before being elevated to Director.
Throughout her tenure, she has led strategic client engagements across cybersecurity, technology risk, governance, digital transformation, and enterprise resilience. She has also mentored high-performing consulting teams while supporting clients across multiple industries.
Before joining KPMG India, Sharon gained early industry experience as an Information Security Analyst Intern with the Indian Infosec Consortium, where she built a strong foundation in information security and cyber risk management.
Sharon holds an MBA in Information Technology Business Management from Symbiosis International University. She also completed the Global Future Cyber Leaders’ Program at Nova School of Business and Economics, where she enhanced her expertise in strategic leadership, artificial intelligence, cyber strategy, and executive storytelling.
In her new role as Director, Sharon will continue working with organizations to strengthen cyber resilience, manage technology risk, accelerate digital transformation, and address the evolving challenges of today’s cybersecurity landscape.
