Samsung’s next flagship tablet could be nearing its debut, with the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra appearing on the Google Play Console. The listing points to 3 model numbers, including 2 versions with cellular connectivity, although Samsung has not yet confirmed the launch.
Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra appears with 3 model numbers
The Wi-Fi-only Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is listed under model number SM-X940. The 2 Wi-Fi + cellular variants carry model numbers SM-X946B and SM-X946N. The listings suggest that the cellular models could support 5G connectivity.
The appearance on the Google Play Console indicates that the tablet may launch soon in select global markets. However, Samsung has not revealed its launch date, specifications, features or pricing.
The listing comes shortly after the Galaxy Tab S12+ was also spotted on the platform. Its Wi-Fi model carries the SM-X840 model number, while the 5G variants are listed as SM-X846B for India and other global markets, SM-X846E for Asian markets, SM-X846N for South Korea and SM-X848U for the US.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra was also recently seen on Geekbench under the SM-X946B model number. The benchmark listing reportedly showed a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset with an octa-core configuration. It includes 4 efficiency cores clocked at 2.7GHz, 3 performance cores at 3.5GHz and 1 prime core reaching up to 4.21GHz.
Apart from the Ultra and Plus models, the upcoming series could also include a standard Galaxy Tab S12 model. The company, however, has not officially confirmed the new tablet lineup.
